School Calendar
We operate a year round program with 2 semesters and a summer program. We will generally follow Capital school district for school closings, holidays and bad weather. A detailed calendar is available each year and updates or additions are made throughout the year.
School Closings
In the event of bad weather, Small Wonders Montessori LLC is closed when Capital School district is closed. On days when there is a delayed opening of one hour in public schools, we will open at 9:30. If Capital schools have more than a one hour delay, the school will remain closed for AM program to err on the side of safety.
Open House
Open houses are scheduled for twice a year. Before school starts in September, a family open house is held for the child and family to meet the teacher, assistant, and other children in the classroom. Families will be notified in the beginning of August as to when the 1st day of school and Open house will occur. In January, an open house is held to register their child(ren) for the following year and to show child(ren)’s progress.

2007 Summer Camp
Ten weeks of Summer Camp will be offered from June 11 to August 17 (no school on July 4). Each week will have a theme. Regular tuition rates will apply with additional fees for field trips or special programs through the week. For more information, see our Summer Camp page.
